MYTH: I NEED TO BE A COMPUTER WIZARD TO HAVE A WEBSHOP

This seems to be a major mindset of a large number of sellers.

The myth that it’s too difficult to build and maintain a webshop looms over many people who aren’t sure how to get started or how to keep an online business running.

However, there are many webshop systems that are well suited for beginners, and with a minimal amount of research, you can find a system that fits your needs.

Today, most systems have a large bank of knowledge that can be found easily and with a growing community of contributors to open-source platforms such as WooCommerce or PrestaShop, there are tonnes of forums to consult.

The fact that a large number of integral parts that make up your shop can be bought through a dedicated marketplace should also be considered as this makes the initial build significantly easier.

The parts of a webshop that can bought includes things such as themes and modules like payment gateways and other must-haves.

If you are feeling really spendy, you could always hire someone do build the shop for you, there are a lot of companies out there who would love to get their hands on your site, but be ready to pay as this is usually something that does not come cheap.

If you are willing to put the time in, you will have your webshop up in no-time. It will take time and dedication, but information on everything related to building and maintaining a webshop can be found online if you are willing to do some reading.

All in all commitment is key as the webshop won’t take care of itself, but if you really want to, anything is possible.
